Pilots,
A security issue with privacy has been raised today.
We at Jetva treat your information privately and hold it confidentially. We will never ask you for any of your details, and we will never ask you to confirm any information.
A privacy matter has been raised regarding pilots' last names. We used to truncate the display of pilots' names, but this was reverted as there was never really any cause for concern.
From immediate effect, all pilots will have the ability to truncate their last name to the first letter only. For example, if I truncated my name, the following would be displayed on the site: Mark G EZY0001.
If you decide to truncate your name, this is irreversible and cannot be undone without admin reinserting your name.
I have decided to implement this irreversible action as an extra security measure. Your data will be removed from the database, and not even admins will be able to see it.
If you wish to truncate your name, you can go to the Edit Profile section on the website. Click on Edit Profile, and you will see a checkbox at the bottom near the Save button. Place a check in that box and click Save. Your last name will then be deleted from the database.
Again, we take everybody's security and data very seriously.
Thank you for being part of Jetva,
Mark
